Introduction | Timeline | Map of the Realm

"Eden's Edge is a world of fae tale, but the tales are unlike our traditional children's fairy tales. In Eden's Edge, the fae are immortal creatures otherwise much like you and me, but they possess unique powers and abilities. Ethereans, Celestians and Elves make up the majority of the fae, but other familiar fae races also pop up from time to time (pixies, brownies, etc...). Along with the fae, there exist the darker creatures of the Forbidden World, a land that sits between the fae realm and the mortal lands. The latter existing much like those kingdoms of our medieval period.... The history of Eden's Edge is vast, as vast as our own (and perhaps even sealed in our own), but their future and ours is definitely linked."

~ Gregory Rinaldi, creator of Eden's Edge

Eden's Edge began with a short story entitled "The Radiance of Aria." Published in 1992 by Chapter One magazine, "Aria" earned immediate praise for its delicate characterization and contemporary use of traditional fantasy elements. Since that time the universe of Eden's Edge has vastly grown. The most expansive addition being a novel, The Last Deity, which first introduced readers to the characters of Litha Domheir, Pug Meda, Jia and Stellan Kiel.

The online version of Eden's Edge started as a concept for bridging the gap between modern graphic novels and fantasy literature. The question was asked, "What if you could create an evolving cycle of story arcs that were connected to each other, each affecting the other in the progression of plot and character development?" The result was FaeRealm's Eclipse, first published online in the Fall of 2002. Eclipse soon led to NightFall and from there came the story arcs you find before you here today. What does the future hold for Eden's Edge? Open to new ideas and experimental styles of traditional fantasy elements, the possibilities are endless.
